Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced, technical-minded operational leader for the position of Sales Coordinator (HQ) with 15–20 years of dedicated experience in sales coordination, commercial administration, and order management within the polymer compounding, masterbatch, or petrochemical industry.
Based at our corporate headquarters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), you will serve as the central operational backbone anchoring all regional sales points (West, North, South and East) and field sales teams. Combining a strong educational background in polymer engineering/chemistry with deep commercial expertise, you will bridge technical customer specifications with plant manufacturing workflows—ensuring seamless order execution, accurate batch allocation, credit control, and commercial operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Coordination & Sales Operations

- Central Order Management: Act as the primary headquarters hub for receiving, evaluating, and processing technical purchase orders (POs) across all regional territories (West, North, South and East) and industrial market segments.
- Technical Order-to-Cash Execution: Review POs against specific polymer grade specifications (MFI, filler content, color matches, flame-retardant grades) and manage the complete order lifecycle in the ERP—from sales order creation and batch allocation to billing approval and invoice generation.
- Regional Sales & Technical Support: Serve as the main liaison for regional sales heads and technical account managers—providing real-time finished goods/raw material stock availability, production lead times, sample dispatch statuses, and credit checks.
Cross-Functional & Plant Alignment
- Production & Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate daily with Plant Planning, Compounding Production, Quality Control (QC), and Logistics teams to ensure manufacturing schedules align with customer commitment dates (OTIF - On Time In Full).
- Sample & Homologation Logistics: Oversee headquarters-level tracking and dispatch of customer trial samples, technical data sheets (TDS), Certificates of Analysis (COA), and regulatory compliance documents (RoHS, REACH, UL).
- Logistics & Freight Oversight: Partner with internal dispatch and third-party transporters to ensure cost-effective freight management, proper hazardous/non-hazardous chemical material handling, accurate transit documentation (E-way bills, delivery challans), and damage-free site deliveries.
Credit Control & Account Administration
- Payment & Outstanding Tracking: Monitor customer payment terms, outstanding receivables, and credit limits in coordination with Finance & Accounts; follow up on overdue payments and manage dispatch holds on defaulting accounts.
- Customer & Product Master Data Hygiene: Maintain audited customer master files, contracted pricing matrices, customer-specific grade codes, and tax records in the enterprise ERP system.
- Commercial & Quality Complaint Resolution: Log, track, and expedite administrative, logistical, or batch discrepancy claims in coordination with Customer Success and QC teams to resolution.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Polymer Engineering, Plastics Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry (B.Sc / M.Sc), or Material Science. (An additional MBA or PG Diploma in Materials Management/Business Administration is a plus).
- Industry Experience: 15–20 years of solid, hands-on experience in sales coordination, commercial operations, or customer support within a polymer compounding, masterbatch, resin manufacturing, or specialty chemical enterprise.
Technical & Functional Competencies
- Polymer Domain Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of polymer resin families (PP, PE, ABS, PA), compounding additives (glass fiber, talc, elastomers, coupling agents), masterbatches, and basic processing parameters.
- In-Depth ERP Mastery: Decades of practical experience operating ERP systems (SAP, MS Dynamics, Tally Prime, or equivalent industrial ERPs) for technical order entry, inventory allocation, and billing workflows.
- Commercial & Tax Fundamentals: Comprehensive understanding of B2B sales documentation, GST rules, e-invoicing, commercial credit policies, and industrial freight logistics.
Soft Skills & Leadership Capabilities
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities to handle high daily order volumes under strict plant dispatch schedules.
- Strong, assertive communication skills (English, Hindi, Marathi) to interface effectively with regional sales heads, plant managers, QC teams, transporters, and corporate leadership.
