Location: Chennai / Bengaluru (Bangalore)
Experience Level: 2–4 Years
Employment Type: Full-time
About Sudarsshan Pollyblends
Sudarsshan Pollyblends Pvt. Ltd. is a premier compounder and masterbatch manufacturer delivering high-performance polymer formulations tailored for demanding automotive and industrial applications. Specializing in advanced Polypropylene (PP) compounds, glass-fiber reinforced grades, flame-retardant formulations, and elastomeric impact-modified solutions, we partner with major automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to replace traditional engineering plastics, optimize part weight, and drive structural innovation.
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, technical-minded Marketing & Business Development Associate based in Chennai or Bengaluru with 2–4 years of hands-on experience selling engineered polymer compounds directly to automotive OEMs and Tier-1 molders. Serving as a key regional growth driver in South India's major automotive hubs, you will bridge technical product capability with OEM requirements—identifying new application opportunities, driving product approvals, and securing long-term supply programs.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Business Development & Technical Sales
-
- Identify, target, and build strong relationships with key procurement, R&D, and engineering leads across automotive OEMs and Tier-1/Tier-2 injection molders in the South India belt (Chennai, Bengaluru, Hosur, Sriperumbudur).
- Promote custom polypropylene compounds, mineral-filled grades, glass-reinforced formulations, and specialty masterbatches for interior trim, exterior components, under-the-hood applications, and structural modules.
- Manage the complete B2B sales cycle—from initial technical presentations and material selection to sample trials, cost proposals, and commercial negotiations.
- Partner with client engineering teams to identify material substitution opportunities (e.g., PP-GF replacing PA6/ABS, weight reduction, and cost optimization).
Material Approval & Tooling Trials
-
-
- Work closely with internal R&D and technical service teams to match strict customer specs (MFI, density, tensile/impact strength, heat deflection temperature, and shrinkage parameters).
- Drive OEM specification approvals, laboratory testing protocols, and part validation processes.
- Attend mold-swap and tooling trials at molder locations to monitor shrinkage matching, surface finish, warpage control, and cycle-time performance.
-
Market Intelligence & Strategy
-
-
- Track regional OEM production roadmaps, EV lightweighting trends, and material benchmarks across key automotive clusters.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of active sampling projects, trial approvals, and commercial conversion milestones.
- Represent Sudarsshan Pollyblends at southern regional automotive expos, technical summits, and trade events.
-
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering (MBA in Marketing/Sales is a plus).
- Experience: 2–4 years of proven B2B technical sales, application development, or technical marketing experience in polymer compounding, masterbatches, or automotive engineering plastics.
Technical & Functional Competencies
- Clear understanding of thermoplastic materials (Polypropylene formulations, elastomeric modifiers like POE/SEBS, coupling agents, and mineral/glass reinforcements).
- Strong familiarity with South India's automotive OEM ecosystem, Tier-1 molder landscape, and procurement workflows.
- Solid understanding of injection molding fundamentals, tool shrinkage behavior, and basic part design parameters.
Soft Skills & Mobility
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proactive problem-solver capable of translating technical material data into business value propositions.
- Readiness to travel extensively across automotive clusters in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
What We Offer
- Competitive fixed salary with performance-linked incentives.
- High degree of autonomy in managing key regional accounts across top automotive supply chains.
- Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding polymer compounding enterprise.
