Senior Marketing Manager – Automotive Division
Company: Sudarsshan Pollyblends Pvt. Ltd.
Location: National Capital Region (NCR) – Delhi / Gurugram / Noida
Experience Level: 10–15 Years
Employment Type: Full-time
About Sudarsshan Pollyblends
Sudarsshan Pollyblends Pvt. Ltd. is a premier compounder and masterbatch manufacturer delivering engineered polymer formulations for high-demand industrial and automotive applications. Specializing in advanced Polypropylene (PP) compounds, glass-fiber reinforced grades, flame-retardant formulations, and elastomeric impact-modified solutions, we partner with leading automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to drive material substitution, structural lightweighting, and cost optimization.
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic Senior Marketing Manager (Automotive Division) based in the NCR region with 10–15 years of rich technical sales, application development, and business leadership experience in the engineered plastics/compounding industry.
Operating in North India’s vital automotive manufacturing hub, you will lead our strategic expansion across major OEM networks and Tier-1 molder ecosystems. You will own the regional P&L growth, build high-level engineering relationships, navigate multi-year OEM specification pipelines, and direct regional business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Leadership & Growth
-
- P&L & Market Expansion: Define and execute the growth strategy for automotive polymer compounds across the Northern automotive hub (Gurugram, Manesar, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Pantnagar).
- OEM Account Leadership: Establish, nurture, and leverage C-level and senior engineering relationships at major passenger vehicle, two-wheeler, and commercial vehicle OEMs, as well as top-tier global molders.
- Material Pipeline Management: Lead long-cycle sales campaigns—from early-stage part design engagement and material spec-in to multi-stage homologation, tooling trials, and full-volume production handover.
- Commercial Strategy: Drive commercial proposals, annual pricing contracts, margin optimization, and strategic raw material pass-through agreements.
Technical Vendor Quality & OEM Compliance
- Quality & Consistency Standards: Establish stringent inbound quality verification protocols for recycled feedstocks (MFI consistency, density, ash content, impact retention, and odor/decontamination profiles) to ensure compliance with OEM automotive standards.
- Audits & Sustainability Certification: Conduct vendor audits, track feedstock traceability, and ensure supply chain compliance with automotive OEM sustainability targets and circular economy mandates.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Develop multi-tier relationships with major petrochemical manufacturers, domestic recyclers, scrap processors, and international trading houses.
Application Engineering & Material Homologation
- Technical Solution Pitching: Position custom PP formulations (glass-reinforced, mineral-filled, elastomeric impact-modified, and HFFR grades) to replace engineering plastics like PA6, ABS, or structural sheet metal.
- OEM Specification Approvals: Spearhead full-vehicle material approval cycles with OEM Central R&D, Materials Engineering, and Quality Assurance divisions.
- Trial Supervision: Oversee molder-level tooling trials (molding shrinkage control, differential warpage mitigation, MFI selection, surface finish, and cycle-time optimization) alongside molder technical teams.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning
- Industry Insights: Track evolving automotive trends (EV battery casing/lightweighting, interior acoustic attenuation, post-consumer recycled PP content mandates, and paintable PP formulations).
- Voice of Customer (VoC): Translate OEM future platform requirements into concrete product development roadmaps for internal R&D and compounding technology teams.
- Brand Leadership: Represent Sudarsshan Pollyblends at premier automotive conventions, OEM supplier summits, and plastics expos (PlastIndia, Advantage Maharashtra, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. An MBA in Marketing or International Business is highly preferred.
- Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in technical sales, market development, or key account management within polymer compounding, masterbatches, or engineering thermoplastics dedicated to the automotive OEM sector.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated history of successfully specifying compounds into high-volume automotive platforms (interior trim, exterior bumpers/claddings, under-the-hood components, structural modules).
Core Competencies & Skills
- In-Depth Polymer Knowledge: Mastery of Polypropylene compounding chemistry, elastomeric modifiers (POE, SEBS, OBCs), glass fiber reinforcement, mineral fillers, and coupling agents.
- Injection Molding & Tooling Expertise: Deep technical understanding of mold design, shrinkage behavior matching, tool swapping, and injection processing parameters.
- Strategic B2B Negotiation: Strong commercial acumen with a track record of winning large supply contracts and negotiating complex OEM/Tier-1 vendor pricing structures.
- Network: Established network of contacts across OEM Materials Engineering, R&D, Sourcing, and Tier-1 molder leadership teams in the North India automotive belt.
What We Offer
- Strategic leadership position within a fast-growing polymer compounding enterprise.
- Highly competitive executive compensation package with performance-linked annual bonuses.
- Direct authority to shape and scale regional automotive operations and product portfolios.
